We're launching a series of events for busy people who want to score out some overdue tasks from their todo list.
As we’re all doing work, there is often little time to fix the basics – such as updating our websites. Together with a crack team (in an action-filled day or less) this new series of events will quickly troubleshoot and move things on with a group of like-minded peers.
Many professionals suffer from having ‘update website’ or ‘write new case study’ on their to do list for far too long. In this one day session, you and a small group will troubleshoot and begin to fix those web bugs with the help of two experts. Perhaps you want to modernise your website design, improve how images are used, or add some new content to the site?
Before the session, we’ll send you a survey so we can start to pin down what you would like to improve online.
On the day, your web guru (Marcus Wilson of Pooka&co https://www.pooka.co/) will give a short talk on current website trends, and you’ll meet him 1:1 to pin down what can be fixed by the end of the day. While he is working on your site, you’ll write some new content, with help from communications expert James Coutts of Opening Lines. Perhaps you’ll update your biog/about page, or craft a new case study. By the end of the day, you’ll have made some progress online and have a clear idea of what to do next.
Pooka&co are a web agency based in Edinburgh & York. They focus on WordPress web design, development, hosting and support (but they can also help with other content management systems). Established in 2010, their business is built on strong ethical principles and they love working with creative businesses who make the world a better place in both big and small ways. Pooka&co is headed up by Director, Marcus Wilson.
Opening Lines work with the most iconic objects and the finest businesses. Director James Coutts believes that communication campaigns should be contemporary, confident and artistically relevant. To raise awareness of their clients, and to maintain conversations, they create written and visual content for digital channels. Increasingly, the company drives audiences to projects such as live streams and crowdfunds.
