A rare chance to have a close examination of this well-known painting in the company of art historian and specialist in 19th century Scottish art, Professor Frances Fowle, Scottish art specialist, dealer and advisor Patrick Bourne and a private collector. The afternoon includes analysis of the significance of the painting from the three different perspectives with the unique opportunity to examine the painting from the reverse as part of the seminar, to shed some light on the long period of its creation (1886-1923). James Holloway, CBE., will chair the discussion.
Recently de-accessioned from the Paisley Institute of Art collections the painting has been purchased privately and will soon leave the U.K.
The afternoon includes a short break. Venue seats are limited so please book early.
