The Winton Trail Run over 10K, 5K and 3.5K offers a unique opportunity to run off road through some of East Lothian's most beautiful countryside on Winton Estate.
The run raises funds for Marie Curie and local registered charities, the Pencaitland Primary School PTA and Pencaitland Playgroup.
There are clearly marked and marshalled off road routes along the Winton Walks for everyone to enjoy, as well as refreshments to return to.
All routes are extensively sign posted and well marshalled. Safety is paramount and we expect runners to follow the advice of marshals and the police at all times especially at points where the 10K route crosses the main road.
To ensure runner safety the wearing of headphones is strictly prohibited.
The 10K: This beautiful cross country route circles Winton house exclusively through trail and tracks between Pencaitland, Boggs Holdings and Ormiston. The new 10K route involves fewer road sections and road crossings, the start and finish is from the front of Winton House. The 5K runners follow a new route this year, more closely following the 3.5K route.
Every competitor should confirm their safe arrival back at the finish desk even if they have not been able to complete the course.
A record 600 runners took part in 2016 and it was a fantastic day.
