Women in Cycling
Come along and going us at The helix Visitor Centre to hear inspirational stories and how you as a lady, wife, mum, sister, aunt, friend or partner can become involved in cycling and how we as women sometimes put barriers up to prevent ourselves being active. Its not all about being competitive but about keeping us fit and active as well as helping our mental health.
Hear from the inspiring Christina MacKenzie who started cycling in her early 30’s to get fit and is now a Guinness World record Holder! Katie Galloway from Falkirk Junior Bike Club will also tell us how we can become involved in the world of cycling inspiring the next generation into the sport.
We will also have information on dress and cycle ( its not all about the lycra!) how to keep ourselves safe on a bike and how to carry out basic maintenance at the roadside.
