From figureheads to flatulent fish, come and celebrate the lives of some fabulous females; women with pirate blood in their veins and a gift for saving lives at sea. Storyteller and Shanty-woman Jan Bee Brown will be diving deep into the lives of lady lighthouse keepers and the most deadly U-boat hunters the Empire ever trained. Lassies who went without sleep to keep ships and sailors safe and others, like Jan, who found themselves singing on remote and ragged rocks. 3:00pm in the Rockfield Centre's Ash Room.
