Alex Dalgetty & Sons Ltd is a fifth generation bakery with shops in Galashiels and Melrose in the heart of the Scottish Borders. Our Melrose shop also has the delightfull addition of a traditional TeaRoom where you can sit in comfort.

Alex Dalgetty & Sons Ltd specialise in traditional craft bakery. All our products are hand-made to traditional recipies. One of our most well known products is the Famous Original Selkirk Bannock which we have made since the bakery was opened in the late 1800's by current owner, Craig Murray's great great grandfather. Other specialities include Scotch Black Bun, Shortbreads, Oatcakes, Cherry Cake and our legendary Scotch Pies! Our TeaRoom in Melrose serves many or our award winning products in tastefull surroundings where you can also enjoy our range of traditional afternoon teas, all served with your choice loose leaf teas.
