Brewery and taproom specialising in Scottish style beer fermented in oak casks.

Epochal was founded in 2021 by Gareth Young, an ex-philosopher who, in 2018, left academia to pursue brewing.

The brewery specialises in modern interpretations of classic Scottish styles, all fermented in oak with wild microbes.

It is the only brewery in Scotland, and one of only two in the world, to ferment with a Burton Union system.

The brewery taproom is open on Fridays from 5-10pm and Saturdays 12-10pm.
