We are an independent, family run licenced restaurant on the seafront serving contemporary Scottish food with a French twist. We have free customer parking and outdoor seating. We welcome dogs and our menu is also available to take away.

The Green Shutters is an iconic location with a heritage going back almost a century. We embrace the very best of traditional values of quality and service without being stuck in the past. We are more than just a cafe or tearoom as more people come to enjoy a meal and a glass of wine or beer than just coffee and cake, although we offer a great range of those too. We use other independent local businesses like ours as our suppliers wherever we can to help support the local economy and ensure quality. All of our food is prepared fresh to order for you. Although we value our history we are never stuck in the past but blend the old and the new to give you a unique experience while you enjoy unobstructed sea views from our comfortable dining room or our seaside terrace. We have just been awarded “Best Outside Seating in Largs” by Restaurant Guru and have a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence for the second year running.
