The Harbour Café is a community enterprise run by Tayport Community Enterprises Ltd. We have an excellent corner site overlooking Tayport Harbour with stunning views of Broughty Ferry Castle across the River Tay. We serve tea, coffee, soup, snacks, light lunches and we have an array of cakes. Both ourselves and our home bakers cater for gluten and dairy free diets. We have a separate children’s and take away menus available too.
Both the Fife Costal Path and National Cycle Route 1 pass our doorstep. There is ample parking across at the harbour and there are racks where bikes can be chained up whilst you visit.
The café is a 20 minute walk to the northern entrance of Tentsmuir Forest, which is a great place for walking, off road cycling, and nature watching.
Dolphins can be seen in the river, seals at Tentsmuir Point, and red squirrels at Morton Lochs. Otters and deer live in the forest, while Ospreys and Sea Eagles can occasionally be seen hunting. There are bird watching hides at Morton Lochs.
