Established in 2011, Kimchi Cult is Scotland’s first Korean style fast food sit-in and take-away just off Byres Road, in Glasgow’s West End – and we’re mad for spicy, fermented cabbage.
Find kimchi as a topping on burgers, fries and rice bowls, a filling in steamed bao, a side to our Korean fried chicken or a hot sauce ingredient. Lunch deals, seasonal specials, vegetarian and vegan options are available.
Think punk riffs on Korean classics - just like traditional Korean cooking, fermented veg, pickles and marinated meat are balanced by five colours and five tastes – but with a unique Cult twist.
All of our food is handmade to order where possible, ensuring that your meal isn’t any ordinary fast food experience.
Our kimchi is handcrafted to a special Jeonju regional recipe, passed down through generations of Korean matriarchs or ajjumas, through our spiritual leader, Myung Ja Ahn of Shinbengi Restaurant.
Small but perfectly formed, we have 16 seats to sit-in, the option to order on Deliveroo, or take-away – call ahead on 0141 258 8081 to place your order.
Starting off as a street food stall and pop-up restaurant in London between 2011 and 2013, we have lots of experience in outside catering events – book us for a wedding, birthday party, corporate event or market to remember.
