The McQueen Gin’s Trossachs Distillery, home to Scotland’s most unique and exciting gin brand McQueen Gin, is a must-visit location if you’re spending some time in and around the Trossachs National Park area. Having launched in 2016, McQueen Gin has seen incredible levels of growth in its still young life as a brand, resulting in the opening of the brand-new McQueen Gin distillery on location at the foot of Ben Ledi in 2019, which increased bottling capacity by 1000%.
Priding themselves on providing innovative and unique flavoured gins that cannot be gotten elsewhere on the market, McQueen Gin is described as adventurous Scottish spirits, distilled to be different. Becoming an increasingly popular choice for gin drinkers throughout the UK, the brand now has national listings in large retailers such as Morrisons, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, whilst also owning an excellent partnership with Aldi where they provide gins that can exclusively be sold in Aldi stores in the UK.
Run by married couple Dale and Vicky McQueen who left previous careers to follow their dream, the McQueen Gin’s Trossachs Distillery comes with impressive, state-of-the-art distilling and bottling equipment, including their much-loved stills ‘Big Doogy’ and ‘Little Maggie’. You can attend a tour of the McQueen distillery where you will get the pleasure of hearing the brand’s story directly from the mouths of the McQueen family, whilst getting the chance to learn about their meticulously handcrafted gin and the process behind it, before enjoying a tasting session of these wonderful and unique products.
The core range of McQueen Gin includes their Super Premium Dry, Sweet Citrus, Chocolate Mint, Smokey Chilli, Spiced Chocolate Orange and Mocha gins, while other product extensions are Coconut and Lime gin which is exclusive to Sainsbury’s stores and Pink Gin and Forest Fruits Colour Changing Gin, exclusive to Aldi.
