"The soup had a light delicate flavour with the terragon well balanced against the leek. Good stock blended with fresh leek into a thin yet creamy soup served with tasty, fresh wholemeal and crusty white bread, sourced locally."
Best Rump of Perthshire Lamb, Flageolets, rosemary & Burgundy Jus
"Succulent lamb with the flageolets in a tasty creamy sauce. The jus was full of flavour and the whole dish enhanced by roasted shallot. A well constructed dish, a good balance of flavours, colours and textures."
Home made Apricot, Apple and Raspberry Crumble
"Softly poached fruit and good crumble topping garnished with fresh berries. Rich vanilla flavour well balanced with the sweeteness of the apple and apricot complementing the sharpness of the raspberries." We are very popular with the locals but we also cater for tourists. Our style is traditional yet informal. Decor can be described as modern with stylish use of wood and Scottish contemporary art, giving a warm ambience. Our specialities include roulade of lemon sole and salmon with spinach.
