You can be assured that a warm welcome awaits you in the Oak Tree Inn, with dining outside in the summer and a huge roaring log fire inside to warm up a winter days.
Our bar has an extensive range of malt whiskies and locally brewed real Scottish beers and ales, courtesy of our very own Balmaha Brewing Co.
Food is a passion and we carefully source our ingredients to offer a very high quality of traditional Scottish cooking with traditional favourites unique delicacies such as Arctic Charr and Cullen Skink.
Our most popular dishes include Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Macaroni Cheese, Steak Pie and the famous Oak Tree Burger (right). Daily Seasonal Specials are a popular feature of our menu and we also offer a selection of vegetarian and gluten free dishes. Snacks, teas & coffees are also available. All our food is prepared freshly on the premises and we use as much of our own home grown fruit and vegetables from the market garden as possible.
Constructed from a 300 year old elm tree, the bar area is an ideal spot for you to enjoy a quiet drink or indulge yourself in the stimulating atmosphere of both local and fellow travellers’ company. We now have over 100 malt whiskies available and the the locally distilled 10 year old malt is Glengoyne, which has won many prestigious awards.
We have stopped brewing our own ale and cider (we couldn’t keep up with demand and now use local brewery Loch Lomond Brewery and Williams Bros) but we do make our own ice cream and we roast our own coffee (the first coffee roasters in Loch Lomond) both on site.
