Leaving the degrees and day jobs behind, in 2017 two locals set out to grow their obsession of homebrewing into a commercial enterprise.
Since then, Wasted Degrees Brewing have grown from producing 50L a batch to 1000L and as of February 2020 have opened their brewery to the public as a bar, shop and for tours. Visitors are invited to come sit amongst the brewery and get the freshest beer available for miles.
The brewery produces three year round beers and an ever changing limited releases range – often calling upon local ingredients. From raspberries to coffee or even aging in whisky casks this young, innovative and exciting brewery is definitely one to check out.
The brewery can be found at Wasted Degrees Brewing, Unit 11, Sawmill Yard, Blair Atholl, PH18 5TL. Ample car and bicycle parking and five minutes walk from the train station.
Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 1pm for informal tours and takeaway sales
