Offering the very best of local produce from Scotland’s natural larder in the visitor café and restaurant as well as providing corporate and leisure event catering at Scotland’s oldest distillery, Wilde Thyme at Glenturret gives visitors a unique and memorable taste of Perthshire.
Working closely with the team at The Famous Grouse Experience the café and restaurant now offers a world-class culinary experience to match the award winning visitor attraction. Chef Patron Andrew Hamer, previously the executive chef at Gleneagles Hotel, has created exclusive menus showcasing the innovative dishes Wilde Thyme produce and incorporating the whisky produced at the distillery.
Savour mouth-watering dishes created using local, seasonal ingredients including Strathearn Pie, a special dish created in honour of the Royal Visit of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Within weeks of taking over the restaurant, the eatery’s first accolade was received – a Taste Our Best award, the new Quality Assurance food and drink scheme from VisitScotland. This accreditation affirms the quality of the locally sourced ingredients and the very best of Scottish produce.
