Activity tour for German-speaking children, teaching them about some Scottish traditions such as kilts, songs, food, ceilidh dance and Highland Games, as well as about local plants and animals.

We are enthusiastic about teaching German-speaking children about Scotland, its nature and its traditions. We start our activity tour in Edinburgh's Meadows with a scavenger hunt, finding items that have something to do with Scotland. We then make our own kilt-inspired costume, which the children can wear during the activity and take home afterwards. Also on the programme is a mini highland game session, where the children compete in games which are also played at Scottish Highland Games, as well as some ceilidh dancing, where the children learn some of the basic steps and moves. For everyone with a sweet tooth, we will prepare a cranachan together and eat it. Throughout our guided activities, the children will also learn about Scottish plants and animals. Our tours are held in German and we take both small groups and individual families on our tours.
