Described by Sir David Attenborough as "Packed full of treasures and wonders..." The Bell Pettigrew Museum founded in 1912 is an artefact in it's own right! A rare surviving example of an Edwardian teaching museum, the collections exhibited range from taxidermy specimens, fossils, skeletons, corals and shells, insects, crustaceans and scientific instruments.
With a programme of drop in activities over the summer and located within the beautiful St Mary's Quad the museum is a must see when in St Andrews.
