From Achiltibuie, the Scottish Wildlife Trust's Ben Mor Coigach reserves extends inland across a landscape dominated by mountains, moorland and peatland. A chain of lochs lies along the northern boundary. It is possible to walk the Posties Path from Strathkannaird to Achiltibuie, a wonderful coastal walk.
Look out for wonderful birdlife such as ravens, ring ouzel, red grouse, ptarmigan, twite, stonechat, whinchat, redpoll, wheatear barnacle geese, and great northern divers. You may also be treated to sightings of grey seals, otters and red deer.
