Biggar & Upper Clydesdale Museum brings together items collected over the past 40 years in a new purpose built museum to show them to best advantage and highlight the importance of the collection. It explores 14,000 years of rural and small town life in Upper Clydesdale. It focuses on the people who have lived and worked here from prehistoric times up to the mid-20th century.
The objects on display illustrate a small part of their ordinary and extraordinary lives. In addition to the museum galleries, the building houses an archive room, stores, retail outlet and a separate area for temporary exhibitions. The Museum is fully accessible with a dedicated parking area on the A702 in the centre of Biggar.
