Bikes on the Brae is a family-run bike hire business on the Isle of Skye. From May 2025, we will be based in Staffin, perfectly located for exploring Skye’s stunning landscapes by bike. Our mission is to provide high-quality bike rentals, including e-bikes, to help visitors experience the island in a fun and eco-friendly way.

At Bikes on the Brae, we are a family-run business passionate about helping visitors explore the stunning landscapes of Skye by bike.

We offer high-quality bike hire, including e-bikes, to make cycling around Skye enjoyable and accessible. Our fleet features modern, well-maintained bikes designed for comfort and reliability, perfect for discovering the island’s scenic roads and iconic sights like the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing.

E-Bike Hire
We proudly offer the SCOTT SUB Tour eRIDE 30, a top-tier electric bike powered by a Bosch 500Wh battery. Equipped with lights, a rack lock, and an essentials kit, this bike provides a smooth and effortless ride, allowing you to explore Skye with ease.

Hybrid Bike Hire
For those preferring a traditional ride, we also offer the SCOTT SUB Cross 50, a high-quality touring bike perfect for exploring Skye’s roads at your own pace. Designed for comfort and reliability, it’s ideal for riders looking for a more classic cycling experience.

Booking & Location
From May 2025, we are relocating to Staffin Harbour in the north of Skye, a prime location for cycling to the island’s most breathtaking sights. All hires and collections will be from this new location. Booking enquiries can be made through our website.
