Campbeltown Bowling Club is home to one of the best bowling greens in Scotland located in a quiet area of the town only minutes from the town centre. The green is open to visitors daily either to play bowls or to have a relaxing drink.
Campbeltown Bowling Club, situated in the Stronvaar area of the town has welcomed countless visitors since it opened in 1906. Part of the large modern clubhouse was once the gate house to the Duke of Argyll's shooting lodge and in the early days was the home of our greenkeepers.
Over the years the clubhouse has expanded in to a community facility and the green offers play in a beautiful setting in the shadow of Beinn Ghuilean that dominates the town and harbour. The green is open for play daily between early April and late September when the action transfers to carpet bowls indoors.
Our large, modern bar has very competitive prices and carries a large stock of Campbeltown, Islay and regional malts as well as other spirits and beers.
