Visit an exhibition and discover the work of artists working internationally today - all in a unique rural setting
CAMPLE LINE is an independent arts organisation based rurally in south west Scotland. We are located at Cample Mill, just outside Thornhill, and about 14 miles north of Dumfries. You will find us in a building that was once part of row of millworkers cottages
Every year we run a public programme of international contemporary arts that is open to all and includes exhibitions, screenings, readings, workshops and events.
Entry to our exhibitions is free and currently by prebooked timeslot. From June 2021 we are gradually re-introducing in-person workshops and film screenings. Please visit our website for details of our programme.
During times of exhibition we are open Thursdays to Sundays, 11am to 4pm, and timeslots can be booked via our website. We also open for drop-in 1-2pm on those days.
We have put a number of measures in place in line with Government guidance, including physical distancing, limits on visitor numbers, increased cleaning, hand-sanitising stations, and a one-way route through the gallery
We are reviewing our reopening process regularly and we continue to monitor:
- any new announcements issued by the Scottish and UK Governments
- any new specific guidance for the cultural sector
- on-going developments in the pandemic situation
