Whisky & Chocolate Pairing - £23
Join our full in-depth whisky & chocolate tasting where you work through some tasty drams of Caol Ila paired with some luxury handmade chocolates from the Highland Chocolatier. This luxury experience takes you through the variety of flavours from both Caol Ila whisky and the chocolates where you can relax in our old cooperage to take it all in. Cask Strength Experience - £25
Join our fun and unique tasting experience where you can taste five special cask strength whiskies. This includes some tasting from special bottles such as 'Distillery Exclusive' or 'Unpeated' as well as some extremely special single casks in our old cooperage where you can draw the sample for yourself. You get a special branded Glencairn glass to take home with you and recieve a £5 discount off selected 70cl bottles from our shop. 1.5 Hours. Short distillery visit included.
Blenders Masterclass- £90
Caol Ila plays an important role in the Johnnie Walker family of blends and you can learn about our contribution through our new blended masterclass. In this two hour experience you will enjoy a special, luxury tasting working through a variety of whisky characters which are integral to the blending process, such as grassy, fruity, nutty and smoky, culminating in the creation of your very own unique blend. On this unique Islay offering you will gain an understanding of the importance of Caol Ila in the Johnnie Walker blends as well as learning about the art, and skill, that goes in to creating a blended whisky. When the experience is over guests will be able to take away their own unique blend. 2 Hours.

Disabled persons including those with guide dogs and other assistance dogs are welcome at our distillery visitor centre.
We will make reasonable adjustments to the distillery visitor tour that we offer at each visitor center to ensure that disabled persons including those with guide dogs or other assistance dogs have a positive visitor experience and, above all else, remain safe.
The unique layout of each distillery location and visitor centre means that the reasonable adjustments we make at each distillery may vary.

For health & safety reasons, children under 8 years old are not permitted in the production areas of the distillery.
Plane:- From Islay Airport follow the road to port Askaig. Caol Ila Distillery is located half a mile from the signpost to the left about half a mile from Port Askaig.
Ferry:- From Port Ellen travel north on the A846. Caol Ila Distillery is located at the end of a side road, sign posted approximately half a mile from Port Askaig. From Port Askaig travel up the steep hill and follow the sign posted side road to the right.
Bus:- Islay Coaches (Mundell's) have buses running throughout the day to the ferry port near us at 'Port Askaig'. However, please note that buses DO NOT run on Sunday's at any point throughout the year.
Taxi:- Taxi's can take you round the island and from distillery to distillery without having to worry about missing out on drams due to driving. http://www.islayinfo.com/islayphone.html
