Cashel Forest Trust on East Loch Lomond is 10 minutes drive north of Balmaha, within Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. This unique site offers visitors the chance to experience some of the finest wildlife that Scotland has to offer.
Wander by the meadow, potter past our peatland, saunter along our circular walking routes traversing 300acres of old and restored native Scottish woodland, home to red squirrels, dor beetles, adders, badgers, glow worms and pine marten, oh my!
3 of our 5 paths are designated least restricted for ease of access. Our 2 longer routes climb steeply in places and offer spectacular views across Loch Lomond and beyond.
Our car park, wet weather picnic barn and path network are open year-round. Parking is £3.00 which goes towards the care of this special place.
As well as our walking routes we have a visitor centre with two fully accessible toilets. This is open from April to October, Tuesday-Sunday, from 10:00 ‘til 16:00. The centre is closed on Mondays and from November to the end of March.
Top tip: There is an outdoor tap providing drinking water at the west gable end of our visitor centre building. Fill up and stay hydrated.
