The ceilidh is a party in Scotland that involves people dancing historical dances to traditional music with friends and family. Having originated in the Highlands, the ceilidh is now used at events such as weddings and Hogmanay (New Year's Eve) to celebrate, dance, laugh, and maybe have a wee dram of whisky!
At Ceilidh Hoolie our expert musicians will play the traditional tunes that have been danced to in Scotland for centuries, while our experienced teacher will explain how to do the dances in a clear and simple manner. However, a ceilidh is a party and not a class, so to help you on your way you will be given a dram of single malt whisky* as part of the ticket price!
So come and make new friends and dance to great traditional Scottish music at Ceilidh Hoolie.
