Claish Moss is one of the best examples in Britain of a raised bog that has evolved over the last 8,000 years.
The pools and mounds of Claish Moss combine in a maze-like pattern of wet ground that quakes beneath your feet. A distant view reveals its patchwork colours and up close, there are specialist plants to discover and dragonflies galore.
Facilities include information panels. However, there are no formal paths on the reserve as the bog surface is dangerous with deep pools.
