Clootie McToot Dumplings

Our workshops will take you, step by step, through the art of traditional Clootie Dumpling. We kindly ask that you complete a premedical questionnaire prior to arrival.
On arrival at Clootie McToot HQ you will be given a short safety brief. We will then provide all the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and advise you of our guidelines around social distancing and COVID-19 before entering the Clootie Dumpling kitchen.
The Clootie Dumpling kitchen is where you will participate in the preparation of your own traditional Clootie Dumpling. Once the Clootie Dumpling mixture has been prepared, your mix will be wrapped in a traditional Clootie Dumpling cloth, known as a 'cloot'. You will then be invited to give your Clootie Dumpling a 'wee skelp' for good luck before popping it in our big Clootie Dumpling pots for boiling.
Now it's time to relax while you enjoy refreshments with a slice of wonderful dumpling. During the break we will share with you the history of the Clootie Dumpling and let you in on a few secret serving suggestions. We'll have a taste test too where you can sample some of our favourite flavours, some traditional and some with a modern twist.
