The clean, white sands are edged by a belt of dunes and the clear water has earned Embo Beach for the second year running.
This broad beach of golden sand stretches north from the village of Embo to the mouth of the River Fleet. Behind the beach there is a network of paths through the high sand dunes, a good place to see the spectacular burnet rose. Located near the Dornoch Firth, this beautiful and clean sandy beach has free parking and facilities that include toilets with shops nearby. A network of paths will take you through the sand dunes where you can spot the local wildlife and take in the fantastic views. The car park, overlooking the beach, is at the north east corner of the village.
