The Scottish Highlander is the only luxury hotel barge to sail along the Caledonian Canal. A six night/seven day cruise on Scottish Highlander takes you between Inverness and Corpach, Fort William and is a scenic, cultural and gastronomic treat. Spectacular scenery, beautiful wildlife, great excursions and an indulgent crew of four make for real enjoyment. Your cruise price includes all meals, drinks, sightseeing, entrance fees and transport from and to the joining point in Inverness. Complete relaxation is also included.
The spacious interior resembles a Scottish country house, and all four double/twin cabins have en suite facilities. Traditional Scottish fare - salmon, game, venison, seafood and local cheeses - is prepared by the master chef, whilst the wine cellar is complemented by a fine selection of single malt whisky. An open bar adds to the atmosphere of conviviality. Special diets can be catered for if requested in advance.
Excursions are made by minibus to Cawdor Castle, Culloden Moor, Fort Augustus, Urquhart Castle, Eilean Doonan and Glencoe, a woollen mill and whisky distillery where you can savour the history, traditions and glory of this beautiful country. The barge's six bicycles also enable you to ride alongside on the towpath. Arrangements can be made for golf, horse riding or fishing.
