Experience Lewis Ltd was set up with the aim of preserving our rich culture here on Lewis, whilst also allowing our passionate locals to showcase their hobbies and talents.
Our range of experiences have been part of our local culture and lives for centuries and although the interest in crofting has declined over the years there are still a few passionate crofters left who would love for you to join them in experiencing and learning about the old arts of sheep shearing and peat cutting. There are non weather dependent activities too like Harris Tweed bag making and informal conversational Gáidhlig lessons for those who would prefer a seat and a chat to navigating the moorland. Whatever you feel like doing we look forward to introducing you to our Hebridean heritage.
