Fire & Peace Wild Camping's message to the people is to reconnect with our planet again through the natural surroundings that most of us tend to take for granted, or ignore. We will take you away to one of many remote locations throughout the wilds of Scotland that will help you to become and feel part of the land again. After all, this is where you truly belong.
Fire & Peace was founded with the aim of getting people to reconnect with the outdoors again. The pressures and stresses of the modern age are now consuming us with life passing us by. Getting out in the fresh air hugely enriches your life. From the way you act, feel, make decisions, it's proven that life outdoors gives you more positive energy. As the writer Laura Ingalls Wilder said: "Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat". We can give you fresh air but, being based in Scotland, we can't always give you the sunshine!
If you're interested in really being part of nature, experiencing the elements and learning how to cope with them, then Fire & Peace Wild Camping can help you with that. Gerry Ward, the founder of Fire & Peace, has been inspired by over 30 years of wild camping expeditions (including one with Ray Mears to Arctic Sweden!) to create these packages to get you back to nature. We will take you away to the real wilds of Scotland and teach you traditional methods from fire-lighting to cooking, and teach you how to enjoy life. Imagine sitting round a campfire, the smell of food wafting from underground ovens, a pile of wood sitting waiting for the fire...then at the end of the night zipping yourself up in your sleeping bag with stars twinkling through the trees (no tents permitted with Fire & Peace!).
