Portencross Castle is a 14th Century castle open from April for 2 weeks over Easter and subsequently every Saturday and Sunday until the end of September.

For July and August we are open daily. Times are on our website and are subject to use of the castle for private events such as weddings, re-affirmations, birthdays and photo shoots. Free parking and free entry. Access to roof top views and the Great Hall.

Upcoming events include a family ceilidh on Saturday 20th June at South Banks House as a fundraiser with dancing to a local band in the garden as the sun sets behind the castle.

On Saturday and Sunday 27th and 29th of June there is an Art Exhibition by local artists actually in the castle. A pop up cafe is available on these days.

On a Saturday in August, Craft in the Garden returns to South Banks House with crafters at work and offering thier work for sale. A pop up cafe is available on both days. Check the castle website for exact dates.

Portencross Castle is normally open at weekends from Easter until the end of September. It opens all week in the summer months - July and August. Check the website for up-to-date details. The Castle also features as part of 'Doors Open' days. Details can be found on our website after the caste opens for the season.
