View the stunning, handmade work of acclaimed glass designers Brodie Nairn and Nichola Burns at their working studio and gallery in the pretty Highland town of Tain.
Pay a visit to one of the UK’s most exciting and cutting-edge hot glass studios in the attractive Highland town of Tain. After spending a decade working with some of the world’s leading glass designers and manufactures in Europe and the United States, Brodie Nairn and Nichola Burns decided to establish their studio and gallery here in 2005.
In addition to their elegant and contemporary handmade glass range displayed in the gallery, Brodie and Nichola also produce commissioned pieces which have included limited edition whisky bottles for distilleries, trophies for industry award ceremonies and public art installations. Their work has been exhibited at international museums and galleries and is found in some of the world’s most prestigious design outlets.
The studio workshop does not hold regular glassblowing demonstrations, but visitors are welcome to observe the process if it is taking place or has been arranged prior to arrival. Organised workshops are available for those wanting to try glassblowing or glass jewellery for themselves.
