Haggis Hunters Tours
Haggis Hunters is a locally run food-and-culture specialist based in Edinburgh. We create relaxed, seated tasting experiences that bring Scotland’s stories to the table — ideal if you want authentic flavour without a long walking tour. With us you’ll taste, learn and unwind in characterful venues while a local expert weaves together history, legend and today’s culinary scene.
What we offer
The Scottish Gastronomic Experience (around 2 hours)
A curated five-course tasting that celebrates Scotland’s larder — from the heritage of haggis to pristine seafood from cold northern waters — paired with regional drinks (including a dram of whisky and a locally loved soft drink). Your host guides you course by course, sharing the origins of each dish, tales of medieval banquets and how Scotland’s food culture has evolved. It’s an intimate, sit-down feast with maximum flavour and zero rushing.
Traditional Scottish Afternoon Tea (castle views)
Set in an iconic Edinburgh tea room with views of the castle, this experience elevates a beloved ritual with a distinctly Scottish touch. Enjoy three courses prepared with quality local produce and choose one hot drink from a selection of more than ten teas sourced from Scotland and around the world. Prefer savoury? Opt for our alternative savoury afternoon tea for one of the courses. Throughout, your local guide shares the story and quirks of afternoon tea in Scotland.
