Innes Bhuidhe (The Yellow Island) Ancient Monument

Owned by the MacNab Memorial Trust, this island contains the ancient burial ground of Clan MacNab who lived in the surroundings areas for almost a millennium.

Clan MacNab had a storied history, and were involved in conflicts with Robert the Bruce, the 16th century Anglo Scottish Wars and the Jacobite Risings during the mid 18th century. The last members of the original clan are buried on the rocky islet of Inch Bhuidhe (or Inchbuie) in Killin.

The burial site is located near a bridge overlooking the Falls of Dochart, the most photographed section of the River Dochart.

The site where the last MacNab's rest has an enclosure where the clan chiefs were buried, while a series of graves mark the resting place of less senior members to the east. The enclosure was built from rubble in the 18th century and is adorned with a medieval slab that bears a kilted figure. To the southwest of the main memorial lies a screen wall with three arches and a pair of circular rubble piers.
