Kirkcaldy Galleries has a stunning collection of work by a number of well-known artists. Since 2015 it has hosted exhibitions of prestigious pieces of work, such as the photography of Diane Arbus and the historic Great Tapestry of Scotland at no cost the public.
At the museum, discover the history, heritage, people and culture of the area through an array of artefacts from Fife’s collection, housed in ‘Moments in Time’, a permanent museum display.
From the creation of the Fife coal bed to the refurbishment of the town’s High Street, and from the first Links Market to the Beatles performing at the Carlton, there are many fascinating stories to uncover. With activities, objects, documents, photos, film, sound and even smells, we hope there’s something for everyone!

Explore the wonderful world of wildlife and plants through our family-friendly exhibition as everything in the garden gets blooming marvellous!
Jack Vettriano: The Early Years | 18 June - 24 October 2021
This exhibition will feature early paintings by Vettriano, including nearly a dozen produced before he decided to become a full-time artist and are signed Jack Hoggan, his birth name. It will be a celebration of his extraordinary career and will be showing paintings he created from in his 20s until he moved to London in 2000.
