Kirkcaldy Galleries is home to an art gallery, museum and library.
Find out more about our venue here.
Kirkcaldy Galleries has a stunning collection of work by a number of well-known artists. Since 2015 it has hosted exhibitions of prestigious pieces of work, such as the photography of Diane Arbus and the historic Great Tapestry of Scotland at no cost to visitors.
At the museum, discover the history, heritage, people and culture of the area through an array of artefacts from Fife’s collection, housed in ‘Moments in Time’, a permanent museum display.
From the creation of the Fife coal bed to the refurbishment of the town’s High Street, and from the first Links Market to the Beatles performing at the Carlton, there are many fascinating stories to uncover. With activities, objects, documents, photos, film, sound and even smells, we hope there’s something for everyone!
Enjoy a tasty snack from our cafe or visit our lovely gift shop and you can buy fabulous 'designed in Fife' jewellery, books, ceramics and more from us online here.
We have three art exhibitions on at the moment to suit a wide variety of interests.
Unveiling the Madonna (open until 13 November) is a fascinating telling of the restoration of the oldest artwork in the Fife Collection, The Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John the Baptist. ARTspace (open until 8 October) includes a selection of wonderful paintings from the collection, from old favourites to hidden gems.
Our newest exhibition Favourite Centres and New Flavours, brings together two new displays. The first featuring some of our most requested paintings, or ‘old favourites’ and the second bursting with works that are relatively new to our Collection and have rarely, or never, been on show here.
