The beach is a mixture of shingle and sand with plenty of free parking nearby, with picnic benches and a wide grassy area. It is a great place for locals and visitors to relax. Pathhead Sands are also previous winners of the Keep Scotland Beautiful Beach Award.
Pathhead Sands lies to the east of Kirkcaldy's harbour and is nearby the ruins of Ravenscraig Castle.
