Home of the Duke of Hamilton, dating from 14th century. 25 minutes drive from Edinburgh. Now houses Hamilton Palace collection of paintings and furniture as well as Mary Queen of Scots' memorabilia.
We are delighted to announce the house will be re-opening for tours from Wednesday 30th June 2021 to Sunday 31st October 2021 (unless otherwise advised in line with local and national recommendations).
Tours will take place at 1230, 1330, 1430 and 1530 (last tour) on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday afternoons.
All tours must be booked and paid for in advance for the duration of the 2021 season. We are unable to accept 'walk in' bookings this year. Please contact the estate office between office hours (9-5, Monday-Thursday) to book your place.
In line with COVID-19 health and safety requirements tour numbers will be extremely limited per tour. If you're unable to make your tour please contact us 72 hours beforehand so a refund can be processed to your card.
Entrance Fees for the 2021 season remain at £10.00 per adult, children up to the age of 16 (free). No concessions available.
Holders of Historic Houses membership are welcome to visit. We respectively ask you also to book your place(s) in advance.
In line with Track and Track requirements, contact details will be held for 21 days from your visit before being removed from our systems. All visitors will be required to comply to a temperature check on arrival.
Masks must be worn for the duration of your tour unless medically exempt from doing so. Sanitizing gel will be available throughout the tour.
