With a short yardage at less than 2,000 yards for nine holes it is one of the shortest courses in the north yet grants a great deal of enjoyment for all ages and abilities. There are five par threes and four par fours to enjoy, the longest hole at 318 yards and the shortest at only 90 yards. The course record is just two-under-par. Accuracy is important at Lybster because the fairways are bordered by thick heather which gets a tight grip on stray shots.
