Nairn Book and Arts Festival (31st August -3rd September 2023) is a long-established celebration of literature and the arts, with free outdoor family friendly creative events and live music, in the beautiful Highland coastal town of Nairn

Nairn Book and Arts Festival (31st August -3rd September 2023) is a long-established celebration of literature and the arts held in the popular and historic Highland coastal town of Nairn. Spanning five days this year, it presents a packed programme of cultural events with the overarching theme (to be revealed soon!), exploring our identity, our diaspora, our history and our environment. The festival features talks by authors, historians, environmentalists and artists, Gaelic and Scots language events, live music, theatrical productions both indoor and out, creative workshops and exhibitions. We have outdoor live music, historical tours, creative nature walks and portraiture in unexpected places, culminating in a finale day with exciting events free to all - there will be live music and storytelling exploring the themes of migration and belonging.
