The Pitscurry Project site is run by Aberdeenshire Council with funding for major projects provided by the Pitcaple Environmental Project (PEP) charity. The Pitscurry site is a community gardening project that provides new opportunities and work experience for adults with disabilities in the Garioch area of Aberdeenshire. Work at the site is based on organic principles and the projcet is committed to the production and use of renewable energy. PEP works hand-in-hand with Aberdeenshire Council through Garioch Day Opportunities and the project has strong connections with several local businesses that are supplied with soft fruit and vegetables from the gardens. The gardens have many surprises in store for visitors with sculptures created by local artists and service users. The addition of the Buzzard Café to the site provides another reason to visit.
