Platform 22 is a pottery gallery & licensed coffee house, based at the heart of Torphins village in Royal Deeside. We are a small family business juggling art, microbrewing, cuisine & weekly markets.
A big part of Platform 22 is our licenced coffee house, but at the heart of Platform 22 we showcase the work by owner and ceramic artist Emma Pattullo, who creates and makes her artwork from her private studio at the bottom of the garden.
We are very proud to host Scotland's only weekly outdoor produce farmers’ market that runs throughout the year no matter the weather! Torphins Market is held in the forecourt of Platform 22 every Wednesday from 10am to 2pm; supporting local businesses and enterprises allowing them to trade and make a living in a rural community.
We also hold Torphins Christmas Market, which is held annually on the first Saturday of December with a selection of local arts & crafts, small businesses, community group fundraisers and of course our Santa’s Grotto too!
The newest enterprise for Platform 22 is becoming a licensed microbrewery. We brew small batches of conditioned bottled ales all on-site. Our stock is only available at Platform 22, so you can choose to sit, sip and savour in house, or purchase to enjoy at home.
We even have two car charging points for electric and hybrid cars in our forecourt! Perfect for a quick top up of charge, while you too can refuel with a tasty bite of lunch, or a reviving cuppa and cake in the coffee house!
