Based in a WASPS Artists Studio in the historic High Street of the beautiful Artist Town of Kirkcudbright, Rugaura's workshop welcomes visitors by appointment. There is usually work in progress, a demonstration possible, a chat about the yarn and inspiration for the colours and designs, all sourced as much as possible from withing the local UNESCO biosphere. When available there are rugs for sale, upholstered stools made in collaboration with local woodworkers, framed giclee prints of previous rugs made, greeting cards for sale and Laura takes commissions for bespoke works too. Laura also sells locally through an Artist and Makers Co-operative in the Mill on The Fleet in Gatehouse of Fleet, open every day April to October, and sometimes exhibits in local galleries with others.
