Welcome to the SCHLOSS Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course
Being a golfer means being fit: For people who want to be physically and mentally at full strength, the sport is the perfect activity. Because golf is healthy: A round on the golf course strengthens the muscles, psyche and the own immune system. Instead of a leisurely stroll, golfers spend about four hours on an 18-hole course, covering an average distance of nine kilometres.
The Roxburghe Championship Golf Course was opened in 1997, to offer exactly this experience. As the result of the work of golf course architect Dave Thomas the design bears his distinct hallmark of well positioned bunkers and large USGA rolling greens. More about the course with its fairway, the different memberships, individual Green Fees and more can be found on our website.
18 holes, 7111 yards, SSS 75, par 72 "Roxburghe's signature hole, The Viaduct, is my favourite 14th tee in Scotland. It's such a beautiful hole in such a glorious setting" - Sam Torrance
The only championship-standard 18-hole course in the Scottish Borders, designed by the Dave Thomas, challenges the best whilst giving pleasure to all. This 7100 yard 72-par course follows natural contours, mature beech woods, dramatic water hazards, and uses clever bunkering to spectacular effect making this a "must play" venue.
Included in the top 5 inland courses in Scotland. Host for the 5th year the to the Charles Church Scottish Seniors Open 2005.
