Skye Makers Gallery celebrates the creativity of the makers who live on the Isle of Skye. Featuring two resident weavers, exhibitions and workshops.
The gallery is situated on the A850 in Dunvegan, which leads to Dunvegan Castle and the Coral Beach with easy parking outside. Skye Makers Gallery is the only gallery on the Isle of Skye that exhibits and sells artwork solely by the artists that live on the island. There are two floors of exhibition space and a working weaving studio featuring Karen Redfern, a rug, tapestry weaver and Jaine Mahon, from Skye Silks who hand dyes and weaves silk scarves. The gallery is currently exhibiting a selection of Skye Makers: Nicky Dagnall, Caroline Dear, Lynne Forrester, Jackie Gaskell, Anne Honeyman, Lesley Linley, Diana Mackie, Rosie Morrison, John Parsons, Riccardo Peri, Russ Sherwood, Maxine Stephenson, Julie Whatley, Sarah Wiggins, Tim Wilcock.
Featured exhibitions, events and workshops will be held throughout the year.
