Fishing Guiding Casting
Don’t worry if you haven’t tried Spey Casting before, we will help you to discover the soul of Spey Casting. We will provide you with Spey Casting lessons and an in depth course on salmon fishing. We believe in teaching you the correct techniques from the very start, and how to avoid picking up any bad casting habits which could take you years to rectify in the future.
Also, we provide salmon guiding fishing trips and salmon fishing holidays on one of the finest salmon fishing rivers in Scotland. Unlike many professional salmon fishing guides, we are not tied to an individual beat or fishery and all of our salmon fishing trips or Spey Casting lessons take place on the top most productive salmon fishing beats of The Tay, providing us and our clients with the finest salmon fishing the Scottish rives has to offer.
Spey Arms runs the salmon and trout fishing on Edradynate Estate. The salmon fishings cover a beat of just over 3 miles on the River Tay. There are six named pools – Tom-an-Droighne, Cluny Ferry, Poltewan, Glide, Church and The Pot – of which Church Pool is the best known and is probably the most productive on the Aberfeldy to Strathtay stretch. The Edradynate and Upper Grandtully water is one of the best known beats on the Upper Tay.
The beat consists fishing of 2 miles left bank fishing and 1 mile right bank.
