The Old Mill Gallery is found in the port village of Palnackie, Dumfries and Galloway. It is the enterprise of artist duo, Edward C Campbell and Lucy Lee, who, in 2015 took on residency of the old mill, and have been busy transforming it bit by bit, into a celebratory manifestation of their imagination.
The gallery also hosts work of other artists in the fashion of a collective, enabling various inputs to shape the look and feel of the gallery. We welcome visitors to the gallery during our opening times, but also do get in touch to organise a visit outside of these hours. Our studios are above the gallery so we are often around.
This year we are also creating new spaces outside including a lean to greenhouse, outdoor studios and a sculpture garden. This will provide a great space for visitors to enjoy a tea or coffee and enjoy the surrounding flora and fauna. We are just next to the port, which is a great place to go for a walk.
