The museum’s collection is of international importance and there is a changing temporary exhibition programme. There is a large collection of old photographs and activities for youngsters.
The Orkney Museum is in Tankerness House, an A-listed building. The Baikie Library and Drawing Room show how the house looked when it was a family home, which it was for three centuries.
