The first V&A museum in the world outside London and the first ever dedicated design museum in Scotland, V&A Dundee welcomes you to the world of design and encourages you to explore how design creativity can be provocative, ingenious or simply breathtaking. Visitors can experience the remarkable story of design past, present and future and the vital contribution design makes to all our lives, through permanent displays and changing exhibitions showcasing the very best of design from around the world.
Designed by internationally acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, V&A Dundee stands at the centre of a 1 billion transformation of Dundee’s waterfront. Tartan is opening Saturday 1 April 2023, this exhibition takes a radical new look at one of the world's best-known textiles.
