Designed by internationally acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, V&A Dundee stands at the centre of a 1 billion transformation of Dundee’s waterfront. Inspired by the dramatic cliffs along the east coast of Scotland, the building stretches out into the River Tay, reconnecting the city with its historic and beautiful riverside - a major new cultural development for Scotland and the UK.
Changing exhibitions showcase the very best design from around the world. Exhibitions showcasing at V&A Dundee in 2020/21 are; Mary Quant (27 August – 17 January 2021), this exhibition is the first international retrospective on the iconic British designer who started a fashion revolution that a whole generation wanted to take part in and Night Fever: Designing Club Culture. (27 March 2021 – 5 September 2021).
