Route
The trail is a 22 mile adventure that takes in the northerly villages of South Ayrshire and a little bit of East Ayrshire too!
It is really intended to be a car treasure trail but can be done by experienced cyclists too! If so, then you probably need to double the amount of time recommended to complete the trail! The trail starts and finishes at South Beach Esplanade Car Park, South Beach, Troon. Have a fun-filled time as you follow the clues, solve the riddles and complete the challenges!
Who Can Do the Trail?
It is suitable for a family (age 8+ children), couples, individuals or groups!
When Can You Do the Trail?
The trail can be done anytime during daylight hours. The trail can be completed in about 3-4 hours (if driving) and is approximately 22 miles long. The more stops you make, the longer it will take! Either whizz around as fast as you can or adopt a more leisurely approach! There are public toilets available in Fullarton Woods and Dundonald Castle Visitor Centre. There are cafes and pubs in most of the villages or pack a picnic!
